Meet the owner

Hi, I’m Geo, your local plumber.

“I’m building Beacon Plumbing with a simple goal: to provide our community with honest, dependable plumbing service, fair pricing, and the kind of customer care I would want for my own family.”

When you book a local plumber in Phoenix, you should know who is coming. Geo owns Beacon Plumbing AZ and does the work himself, so the person you book is the person who shows up.

Local know-how

Phoenix hard water tips from a local plumber

Phoenix tap water is naturally hard. The City of Phoenix 2025 Water Quality Report lists total hardness of 172–302 mg/L, about 10–17.6 grains per gallon, and most of that range counts as very hard on the US Geological Survey’s scale.

That hardness comes from dissolved calcium and magnesium, and it leaves scale behind. The city notes that scale can build up in pipes and water heaters and on faucets and showerheads. A few simple habits help:

  • Clean faucets and showerheads when you see white crust, since that’s scale building up.
  • Follow your water heater manufacturer’s flushing schedule, especially for a tankless unit.
  • If scale keeps coming back, ask about water softeners and filtration.
  • Know where your pressure regulator is: in Phoenix, the homeowner is responsible for the regulator on their side of the meter.

If you’re not sure what you’re seeing, book a visit. Geo will explain it in plain language before any work begins.

The Beacon Care Fund

For the community,
by the community.

A portion of the proceeds from our work is set aside for local families going through a difficult time. It helps them restore the essentials, such as running water, working toilets, hot water and safe plumbing. So when you choose Beacon, you help a neighbor, too.

Questions

Common questions about hiring a local plumber

Which areas do you serve?

We serve the whole Phoenix metro, including Phoenix, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Tempe, Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Queen Creek, Glendale, Peoria, Surprise, Goodyear, Avondale, Buckeye and the communities in between. If you’re not sure, see the full service area.

How do I schedule service?

Book online in a couple of minutes with the “Schedule service” button, or call us instead. Our line always answers, so you’ll talk to someone (or our assistant) right away instead of leaving a voicemail.

Will I know the price before you start?

Yes. First we find the cause, then we explain your options in plain language and give you a clear, upfront price. No work begins until you approve it, so there are no surprises on the invoice.

What if I have a plumbing emergency?

Our line answers anytime — we’ll get you on the schedule as quickly as we can.

While you wait, shut off the water at the fixture valve or your home’s main shut-off to limit damage. If you’re not sure where it is, here’s how to find it.

How much experience do you have?

Geo, the owner, has more than 12 years in the plumbing trade, including the last 3 as a local plumber in the Phoenix area. Beacon Plumbing AZ is his own business, so it’s built on doing the job right and treating every home like his own.

What is the Beacon Care Fund?

A portion of the proceeds from our work goes into the Beacon Care Fund. The fund then helps local families going through a hard time restore essential plumbing they can’t afford to fix. If you’d like the details, learn more about the fund.
